Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 1, 2026
In accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its Regulations, [Legal name of the data controller — to be completed] (“Pide Tu Música” or the “Controller”) makes this Privacy Notice available to you.
1. Identity and address of the controller
The controller of your personal data is [Legal name of the data controller — to be completed], which operates the “Pide Tu Música” site and platform (pidetumusica.com).
Address for notices: [Registered address — to be completed].
For privacy and ARCO rights: [Email for ARCO / privacy requests — to be completed].
2. Personal data we collect
We collect only the data needed to run the service, depending on the type of user:
From DJs
- Name or stage name, email and account password.
- Contact phone and, if provided, address or sound-system details.
- Bank details for voluntary tips: bank, account holder name and CLABE.
- Profile images, logo, set covers and promo material the DJ chooses to upload.
From event guests
- Optional name on song requests, reviews, ratings and chat messages.
- Content they write: requested songs, comments, reviews and live chat.
- Payment or tip receipts they attach (image).
- Technical event identifiers (guest token and, where used, device fingerprint) to moderate the room and prevent abuse.
Browsing and behavior data
- Microsoft Clarity captures cookies, heatmaps, session recordings, clicks, scrolling and usage metrics, plus technical browser and device data.
- This data is used to understand how the site is used and to improve it. It is not required to request a song, chat or send a tip.
3. Purposes of processing
Purposes that are necessary to operate the service (no extra consent beyond using the platform):
- Create and manage the DJ account, events, sets, song queue, chat, reviews and ratings.
- Show guests the bank details the DJ chose to publish for voluntary tips.
- Receive and show the DJ any receipts a guest attaches.
- Moderate content, block abusive behavior and provide support.
- Send operational notices about the account or event.
Purposes that need additional consent:
Behavioral analytics with Microsoft Clarity (cookies, heatmaps and session recording) to improve the site. By continuing to browse you accept this purpose. You may object at any time through ARCO rights or your browser’s cookie controls.
4. Tips and payments: the platform does not handle the money
Voluntary tips are made by direct bank transfer from the guest to the DJ (for example, SPEI using a CLABE). Pide Tu Música does not charge, hold, custody or guarantee those transfers, and does not take a commission on them.
The platform only displays the details the DJ chooses to publish and, if the guest opts in, receives a receipt for the DJ to see. The money is sent outside the site, in the user’s own banking app.
Payments by DJs for plans or credits, when they apply, are described separately on the pricing page and do not mean Pide Tu Música processes guest tips.
5. Transfers to third parties
For behavioral analytics we transfer usage data to Microsoft Corporation, which operates Microsoft Clarity. That transfer may involve processing outside Mexico (including the United States).
See Microsoft’s privacy statement: Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We also use infrastructure providers (hosting, database and file storage) that process data on the Controller’s behalf, only to provide the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not transfer CLABE numbers or receipts for marketing.
6. ARCO rights and limiting use
You may at any time exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Objection (ARCO), limit the use or disclosure of your data, or withdraw consent for additional purposes (including Clarity).
Send your request to [Email for ARCO / privacy requests — to be completed] with: full name, a way to reply, a clear description of the right you want to exercise and, if needed, documents that prove your identity or representation.
We will handle the request within the time frames set by the LFPDPPP (as a rule, twenty business days to communicate the decision and, if granted, fifteen additional business days to implement it).
DJs can correct name, phone and bank details from their profile. Guests without an account can ask us to cancel or correct a comment, review, message or receipt by writing to the same email and identifying the event.
7. Changes to this notice
Any change to this Privacy Notice will be published on this same page, with a new last-updated date.
If the change is material, we will make it visible on the site. Continued use of the service after the updated notice is published means you have been informed of the new version.
